How to Donate Books, Movies, and Music to Spotlight Books

 

In Norfolk, donations may be dropped off at the Spotlight Books Training Facility. We are located in the Foodbank building at 800 Tidewater Drive, between Virginia Beach Blvd. and Brambleton Ave. Our door is halfway down the right (south) side of the building, on East Olney Road (look for the bright blue awning). Our donation hours are Monday through Friday from 9 to 5.

If you are unable to come by during the week, you can drop off your donations on the weekend at Green Alternatives, located at 1905 Colonial Avenue in Ghent. They are open Monday through Saturday from 10 to 6, and Sunday from Sunday from 1 to 5. For more information about Green Alternatives, click here.

In Virginia Beach, donations may be dropped off at the administrative offices of Samaritan House, 2620 Southern Blvd., off Lynnhaven Parkway. They are open Monday through Thursday, from 9 to 5.

 

Arranging a Pickup: We may be able to arrange a pickup from your home or office if you have:

• A large donation of books, movies, and/or music.
• A donation of academic books with ISBN numbers.

Just give us a call at 623-1119.

 

We will provide a receipt for your tax-deductible donation.

Please, no magazines, encyclopedias, or records.
